Well today has been a very interesting day haha.

The good news is Mr GSOH and I have exchanged phone numbers so we can arrange a date! Yay! Now we are almost seeing ach other I think I can call him by his real name - Dean. I guess I have to thank Lisa for badgering me and him to get up the confidence to ask each other out, in fact I will thank her next time I see her...

It was really sweet the way Dean approached me today. He began with the random line I used on him just before I asked him about a month ago. It went something like "So.... have you ever licked a stoat before?" (dont ask lol). At which I was thinking... hmmm hang on a minute, didnt I ask him that once. Then he smiled at me and said "I am a chicken". Bless!

When we were alone at the end of our break he asked me properly and I siad yes of course :) We exchanged numbers and I locked up my stuff in my locker... a little better than I planned to actually. At the end of my shift (we both finished about 1/2 an hour late) we were about to set off together when I went in my jacket pocket to get my locker keys out.

Oh dear. They werent there.

I looked again but they werent there.

I wondered whether Toro or somebody had hidden them for a laugh but no... they were nowhere to be seen.

At this point I wondered. "Could I really have locked them in the locker with my stuff?" I didnt think so, after all I always, always check where they are beforehand exactly so I do not lock them in the locker with all of my worldly possesions...

I looked up and said to Dean "Ah. I have a slight problem..." and explained the situation. Dean was all too keen to help and set about looking for the shovel with me explaining that he had broken into lockers before when neccesary. Try as we may we couldnt find the shovel so made do with a bizarre bin crusher thingy. Dean bashed and thwacked but the lock held.

We looked again and found the shovel. Surely we couild get in now... nope.

We tried with a steaming tray with no luck and then started on the lock with an iron bar originally part of a mop handle. We both had a good bash and started to make progress - again a bit too enthusiastically. Dean smacked the lock witht this bar really hard and it rickochead off the lock....in to his eyebrow. In true movie style Dean swayed a moment and then fell backwards. At first I thought he was just being his funny self but as he stumbled as he tried to get up and we noticed he had a gash in his eyebrow that was bleeding a fair bit I realised otherwise!

I kept on asking are you ok? He kept on saying he was but kindof seemed a little dazed as we walked back to my house to pick up some tools. As well as a bloody big hammer and a massoff screwdriver, I found some keys that looked quite similar to those of the padlock and decided to take those with me just in case.

We talked about some seriously random stuff on our travels! The phrases "magical stoat children", "trunde wheel weekly" and "extreme ironing" all came up - proof that we are surely both bordering on insane!

Anyhoo. As we got back to the store (after breaking through the back entrance!) I tried one of the keys. I think you can guess what happened! It did take the hammer to bend the catch back into place however. Poor Dean was there with a massiveblue plaster across his eyebrow with everybody asking what he had done. He claimed that he "walked into a bar" heehee!

So after that escapade Deans flatmate Jono came to pick him up and he very nicely gaveme a lift too. Turns out that I had already met Jono and almost bought a drumkit off him once!

So there you have it. Yes Dean and I should be going on a date but only after a very embarrasing start hehe :)
